Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organisation Commends Attendees at OBA’s Thanksgiving

For sparing their valuable time to attend the “Praise Night” and “Thanksgiving” organized by Senator Bassey Albert on January 27 and 29, 2022, the attendees have been described as true lovers of God, humanity, and everything good.

An “appreciation message” from OBA’s electioneering structure, Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organisation, said the massive involvement of people at the Thanksgiving Service showed great love both for their Principal and for the things of God.

The statement signed by the campaign Spokesman, Dr. Usoro I. Usoro, read in part:“The leadership, entire members, and teeming supporters of Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organisation witnessed an unquantifiable and overwhelming show of love and support on January 27 and 29, 2022 at the “Praise Night” and “Thanksgiving” of our Principal, Senator Bassey Albert.

“For that, we are indeed grateful to His Excellencies, Governor UDOM Emmanuel and his dear wife; Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan; Nigerian Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe; other members of the National Assembly; members of the State Assembly; the traditional institution; the clergy; the political class; the resplendent women groups; the youth groups; the community leaders; the physically challenged; the non-indigenes; the media professionals, among many others, who formed the colourful sea-of-heads at the ceremony”.

The statement specifically appreciated Governor Udom Emmanuel and the Senate President for shelving all else, despite their tight schedules, and braving all odds to personally attend the January 29, 2022 event.

“Without detracting from the personal and direct appreciation messages from our Principal, we as an organisation owe it a duty to also commend your esteemed presence and full involvement at the ceremonies.

“We are in profound debt of gratitude to the governor for sparing time from his tight schedule to honour us. The Senator President and his entourage defied all odds to grace the occasion. We are, indeed, grateful”, the statement said.

While acknowledging that, “the show of love, comradeship, confidence, and support was massive and invaluable”, the statement added that “words are not enough to express our gratitude and we return massive glory to God Almighty”.

“In conclusion, our prayer for all of you, this day, is for that same God, whom you honoured with your presence at the Thanksgiving to reward you exceedingly”, it added.

The Thanksgiving themed: “Lord, we are grateful “, featured the commissioning of various life-impacting projects including a 1.3 kilometre road, a multi-purpose recreation centre, an ICT hub, among others.

The Senate President Lawan and Governor Emmanuel jointly performed the commissioning ceremonies, assisted by a retinue of top dignitaries from across the nation.#OBAThanksgiving #AKWAUBOKABASI
