Senator Bassey Albert (OBA) representing the good people of Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo) Senatorial District on Friday 25th August,2018 inaugurated a 100 percent automated water project at Afahaubong Itam, Itu LGA were customised cards numbering 400 are given to every home in the community for use to dispense drinking water for domestic use at their convenience without being aided.
Senator Albert said he promised the community the water project when in May 2018 he visited the community on invitation as a Special Guest to kick off a football match by some teams in the community, the Village Head had intimated him that there is no portable water and thanked God for the grace to fulfill the promise which will add value to lives of the people in the community.
Speaking on behalf of the village, the youth Leader, Prophet Maxwell said Senator Albert is a talk and do Senator who has given the community and by extension the Senatorial District reasons to send him back to the Senate for more effective representation, praying that God should continue to bless him in his endeavours.
In appreciation of the Senator’s benevolence the community through the Village Head named the street where the digital Water project is located after Senator Bassey Albert.
The Consultant who handled the project showed the Senator, his entourage and the people how they can use the water without whenever they want to use it.
