The senate ad hoc committee on Works just inspected the gully site which has cut off the Calabar – Itu Road with the Chairman of the committee Sen Barnabas Gemade promising the people of Akwa Ibom that the 8th Senate will fast track the process for the Federal government to award the construction of the project to a reputable company. He thanked the Executive Governor for using the ecological funds judiciously to putting remedial measures that has kept the failed portion still manageable by commuters. Sen Gemade thanked the Senator representing Uyo senatorial district Senator Bassey Albert for bringing the motion to the floor of the senate which informed the constituting of the senate ad-hoc committee on Works to inspect all bad federal roads across the country.
